Have you ever felt tired and empty? Do you feel that way right now? Even with the best of intentions, we can easily run ourselves dry. It takes work to be an attentive family member, faithful friend, solid employee, and thoughtful philanthropist all the time. We want to live a Christ-centered life, but sometimes it can feel exhausting. In his letter to the church in Colosse, the apostle Paul encourages all Christ followers to find fullness in worship and thanksgiving. When we live our lives with the intention of reflecting Christ to everyone we meet, our lives become far richer. Allowing our actions to be full of worship and our hearts full of thanks helps us find greater wisdom and affords us the opportunity to use our gifts for a far greater purpose. When you feel empty, focus back in on all that God has done and is going to do through you. There is where you will find a new freshness!
MEDITATE ON THIS PASSAGE: Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
