Oak Forest Foster Closet
Foster, adoptive, and kinship families welcome children with love, but often face added expenses and challenges that make providing essentials more difficult. So the mission of the Oak Forest Foster Closet is to uplift and empower these families by supporting them with vital resources such as clothing, diapers, formula, bedding, books, and more throughout their journey.
When families have what they need, they can focus on what truly matters: creating stable, nurturing homes where every child can thrive.
About this Project
From organizing clothes, shoes, and baby items onto shelves to installing a walking path, flower beds, and space for a future playground, Village Heights volunteers went above and beyond in making the Oak Forest Foster Closet feel more welcoming, more like home, for families in the foster care system.
